The area

Ugglarp sits on the Halland coast between Halmstad and Falkenberg — rural, and a short walk from the beach. Ugglarps camping is close by with a restaurant and mini-golf, and the golf courses around Halmstad are all within easy reach.

The nearest swimming is Ugglarps Havsbad — three sandy beaches running to about 1.6 kilometres in total, divided by two rocky points. Take your pick: straight in off the rocks, or the shallow water off the sand. That shallow water and plenty of crabs to catch make it perfect for small children. There is a toilet and a freshwater shower at the car parks for the northern and middle beaches. And if it rains, Svedino’s car and aircraft museum is five hundred metres away and entirely indoors; further afield there is the swimming complex and the art museums in Halmstad, and Vallarna park in Falkenberg.

Who we are

Millie, a small white dog, carrying a yellow toy duck across a wooden deck

We are Stefan and Ann-Louise, and we let the apartment ourselves — no management company, no front desk. We meet you when you arrive, show you around, and are close by if anything is needed while you are here.

The day-trip suggestions on this site are our own, gathered over the years. If you have a question before booking, you are writing to us — and it is us who answer.

Millie lives here too — a small white dog who treats every new arrival as a personal matter. Stefan calls her ten to the power of minus three. Everyone else says Millie. She has no access to the apartment itself, so it works for guests with animal allergies too.

Availability & booking

Availability, prices and booking are handled on Vrbo, where you can also see our reviews. If you would rather deal with us directly, write to us — we answer questions and take bookings by email.

We normally let the apartment from May to September.

Practical

Arrive whenever suits you, any time from 4pm. The door has a keypad lock, and you will get the code on the day you arrive. Do get in touch when you set off and let us know roughly what time you expect to be here — we would love to be there to welcome you and show you around.

In the apartment

Duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are all provided, with spare blankets and pillows in the drawer. Cleaning materials are in the bathroom cabinet and under the stairs; bin bags, washing-up liquid and sponges are in the kitchen.

Waste & recycling

Food waste goes in the brown bin, in the brown paper bags. General waste goes in the green bin, in plastic bags. Both bins stand outside the hedge by the road. Paper, cardboard, plastic, glass and metal are sorted into the bags under the stairs.

In an emergency

The emergency number in Sweden is 112. There is a fire extinguisher under the stairs, and we will point it out when we show you around.

House rules

The apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. Maximum five guests.

Before you leave

We ask that you leave the apartment by 11am and in the condition you found it. The full cleaning instructions are framed on the wall in the apartment: dishes washed, bins emptied and recycling sorted, used bed linen and towels gathered up, surfaces wiped down, bathroom cleaned, and floors vacuumed and mopped.
